Paths to Post-tenure Review

As a faculty member under consideration for post-tenure review, you will follow one of the paths below determined by the method of annual review within your academic component.

Annual Review by the Component Administrator
If you hold appointment in a component in which the component administrator evaluates each faculty member’s annual performance without the participation of a peer review committee, your post-tenure review will be conducted by a peer review committee in your component. Please consult with your component administrator regarding your peer review committee. For this sixth year review, you must submit:

  1. Updated curriculum vitae
  2. Sixth year annual performance review portfolio
  3. “Annual Performance Review: Evaluation and Recommendations” form for each of the past five years
  4. “Annual Performance Review: Summary of Recommendations” form for each of the past five years

These must be submitted, along with the “Post-tenure Review Summary Form,” to the peer review committee in your component.  Additional materials may be submitted at the faculty member's discretion.

Annual Review by a Peer Review Committee
If you hold appointment in a component in which your peers are involved in evaluating each faculty member's annual performance, no separate review will occur in 2012-2013.

The post-tenure review will be conducted at the same time as the annual performance review and will follow the same timetable established for the annual performance review. For this sixth year review, your regular annual performance review portfolio and updated CV should be submitted to your peer review committee, along with the “Post tenure Review Summary Form.”
