Site Specific Information
Examples of site-specific behavioral objectives and sample 12-week schedules for various practice settings are available here. Additional site-specific objectives for fieldwork interns are available at www.aota.org. Similar practice settings will have similar behavioral objectives. It is not necessary that you start from scratch; if you find basic sample objectives that work within your setting, it's okay to modify these for your facility. Your AFWC is available to assist you in this.
Reimbursement for student-delivered therapy services are governed by many complex external factors including third-party payers, insurance regulations and individual facility policies. These policies frequently undergo change. As they become available, notices about reimbursement guidelines are posted here to provide a convenient resource for fieldwork educators. Links for the full text rules are available through the CMS webpage at www.cms.gov . AOTA provides updated notices about proposed changes in the rules, deadlines for implementation, interpretative guidelines and links to recent articles about CMS rulings at www.aota.org.
