Meet the Staff

Amy Okeefe

Director of Commuter Services

Amy holds a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Southern Illinois University (Carbondale, IL) and a Bachelor’s degree in educational philosophy from Miami University (Oxford, OH).  Previous to working in higher education, she worked with survivors of domestic violence and their children.  Amy is passionate about advocating for the underdog, enjoying beautiful Texas sunsets and  watching LOST with her middle school sons; Mackenzie and Miles.  She also really loves chocolate.

Wes Adams

Assistant Director of Commuter Services

Wes has a Ph.D in Higher Education Administration, a Master's degree in Exercise Physiology, a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from the University of North Texas and an Associates degree from Collin College. Previously he worked as an associate faculty member of physical education at Collin College and a teaching fellow at the University of North Texas. Wes's main interests are integrating technology and education, promoting physical education, and outdoor activities.

Candice Vinson

Graduate Assistant

Candice holds a Master's degree from TWU in counseling psychology and a Bachelor's degree from Texas Tech University in psychology. She is currently working on her Ph.D. at TWU. When she isn't serving the needs of commuter and non-traditional students as a graduate assistant, she is teaching psychology courses and working with clients in therapy. She is passionate about social justice issues, diversity, and the unique culture of college students. In her limited spare time, she enjoys playing guitar hero and watching medical dramas (Grey's, ER, House, etc). She also spends time with her fiancée Stanley and their cat Sipsy.

Trisha Botello

Trisha received her bachelor’s in Music Therapy from Loyola University in New Orleans.  She practiced Music Therapy at a non-profit agency in New York for 4 years before moving to Texas to pursue graduate degrees in Counseling and Music Therapy at TWU.  In her spare time she enjoys doing yoga, playing piano, taking pictures, being with friends, baking vegan goodies, and tending to her cactus garden.
