Fall 2006-Spring 2007SHAC is a group of enthusiastic students interested in the health-related concerns of their peers on the TWU Campus. SHAC was revitalized in Fall 2005 with representation from ethnically and academically diverse students on the TWU Campus. TWU Student Health Services (SHS) is funded by student fees and hence, it is significant to have a student-led body to voice the health needs and concerns of the TWU students to the SHS staff. Mission Statement The mission of SHAC will be to act as a strong liaison between TWU students and Student Health Services. This student-led committee will act as an advocate for the health needs and concerns of TWU students and will assist SHS in delivering quality care to the TWU community. Goals of SHAC The purpose of SHAC will be to promote the health and wellness of the TWU community by:
SHAC will serve as an advisory committee and will have no administrative authority.
