On-Campus Employment

According to BCIS, students who have J-1 and F-1 status are required to maintain full-time status. BCIS allows F-1 students to work on-campus as soon as they obtain their F-1 status. J-1 students must contact the International Education Office to determine if they are eligible to work on campus. On-campus employment is limited to 20 hours per week while school is in session, and full-time during summer and vacation.

Procedure:

F-1 student must contact the International Education Office to verify eligibility for employment. The student must provide current SEVIS I-20 and proof of full-time enrollment to be permitted to work on campus. Student must also complete "pink form" signed by the International Education Office to take to the Payroll Office. The pink form can be obtain from the International Education Office and the Payroll Office. Contact the TWU Payroll Office at 898-3561 for information.

J-1 students can work if DS-2019 form specifies employment at TWU. If TWU is not specified for employment, student must come by the International Education Office for additional form to be signed by the International Education Office.
