On-Campus Employment
According to BCIS, students who have J-1 and F-1 status are required to
maintain full-time status. BCIS allows F-1 students to work on-campus as
soon as they obtain their F-1 status. J-1 students must contact the
International Education Office to determine if they are eligible to work
on campus. On-campus employment is limited to 20 hours per week while
school is in session, and full-time during summer and vacation.
Procedure:
F-1 student must contact the International Education Office to verify
eligibility for employment. The student must provide current SEVIS I-20 and
proof of full-time enrollment to be permitted to work on campus. Student
must also complete "pink form" signed by the International Education
Office to take to the Payroll Office. The pink form can be obtain from
the International Education Office and the Payroll Office. Contact the
TWU Payroll Office at 898-3561 for information.
J-1 students can work if DS-2019 form specifies employment at TWU. If
TWU is not specified for employment, student must come by the
International Education Office for additional form to be signed by the
International Education Office.
