International Week
International Week is the week out of the year that TWU celebrates international students. The International Week occurs during the month of November before Thanksgiving. The International week includes the following activities:
1. Open House by the International Education Office,
2. Study Abroad Information session,
3. Free Legal Advising by an Immigration Lawyer,
4. TWU's Annual International Festival, and
5. Foreign Movie Nights.
Open House
The International Education Office provides one-to-one tour and information to international and American students about the Office and the staff.
Study Abroad Information Session
The International Education Office sponsors a Study Abroad Information Session and invites various faculty members and approved study abroad organization to display their unique study abroad programs to TWU's students. For more information about study abroad, please visit our Study Abroad section.
Legal Session
The International Education Office provides TWU's international student with the opportunity to obtain free 15-30 minutes consultation with an immigration lawyer, who will answer and assit international student with complicated immigration problems or questions.
TWU's Annual International Festival
Originally started by the TWU International Folk Dance Company in 1979, the International Festival has become a tradition at TWU to celebrate diversity and share world cuisine.
When you walk into Hubbard Hall, you will notice your strong appetite. With a five-dollar admission fee, you will enjoy a memorable and fulfilling international culinary experience.
The highlight of the International Festival will be dance performances throughout the evening, awards recognition, and a guest speaker.
TWU Dance Department provides and shares a variety of authentic dance representations of Ireland, Mexico, Israel, Russia, and other countries. The audience always experiences the opportunity to learn and participate in international dance.
Foreign Movie Nights
The International Education Office also hosts foreign movie nights for international and non-international students. |
