Transferring from Another School

If you attended another school within the United States as an F-1 student and wish to transfer your studies to Texas Woman’s University, immigration regulations require that you complete a school transfer procedure in order to be authorized to attend TWU. The school transfer procedure may be completed in one of two ways:

  • by traveling abroad (other than to Canada or Mexico) and reentering the United States with your new Texas Woman’s University I-20 which shows box #3c completed with the name of your previous school,
    OR
  • by reporting to the Office of International Education within the first two weeks of class during the Fall or Spring semester or within the first four days of Summer classes and applying for a school transfer notification.

Download the TWU Transfer Notification as a Word document,
or link to the TWU Transfer Notification web page.
