Guidelines for Vendor and Information Space

The guidelines for reserving vending space in the Student Center or in Academic Buildings are listed below:

  1. Request and payment for vending space(s) must be submitted to the Office of the Student Center Director or Academic Facilities/Academic Affairs at least 10 working days in advance.
  2. In the event that vending space will not be needed, please call the Student Center Office at (940) 898-3641 for space in the Student Center or Conference Services at (940) 898-3644 for spaces in Academic Buildings two working days in advance to cancel your reservation. A cancellation without proper notification can result in payment for services and/or loss of future reservation privileges.
  3. Vending spaces are available on a first-come-first serve basis. Vendors may only reserve vending areas three days each month.
  4. Vending areas in Academic Facilities are reserved only to vendors associated with the University.
  5. Occupancy of vending space is only for the scheduled times, and the vendor is liable for any loss or damage to the premises or equipment resulting from occupancy. The Student Center is neither liable for unattended vending spaces nor responsible for maintaining promotion of items in the unattended spaces.
  6. The vendor is responsible for the orderly behavior of the participants and the supervision of merchandise or sale items at all times. Amplified sound and aggressive sales are prohibited in the Student Center.
  7. Vending areas should be cleared of all merchandise and the area should be cleaned following each scheduled event. Staff will discard all materials left by the vendor.
  8. Items for sale in the Bookstore may not be sold in the vending spaces by students, student organizations, faculty, staff, and persons or companies outside the University.
  9. In consideration of permission to use the facilities, the vendor who signs the Vendor Reservation Form, shall indemnify and hold harmless Texas Woman's University for and against any and all liability, attorneys fees, court costs, loss of property, death, or other tortuous acts which may occur on such premises during the time of occupancy of the facility by which the user under this agreement of which may occur to or be caused by participating during such use of facilities.
Rate Schedule - Vending Areas for Non-University Related Sales
  1. Vending spaces are available to persons, companies, and students who are selling items that are not sold at the TWU Bookstore.
  2. The following rate schedule is in effect for vending areas:
    1. Vending areas are available to student organizations and students with hand-crafted items at no charge.
    2. Staff and Faculty charges are $25 for one vending table.
    3. Persons and companies outside the University are charged $50 for one vending table.
    4. Any additional tables are $25 each.
    5. Persons and companies outside the University may promote job recruitment for students at no cost. These vendors are not to exceed the three-day maximum per month.
    6. The Student Center reserves the right to change the above policies and procedures without notice.
