Greek Life Chapters
Panhellenic Council (NPC):
The Panhellenic Council is the coordinating body of the National Panhellenic Conference sororities' chapters represented at TWU. The council is comprised of an executive board along with one delegate and one alternate delegate from each member group. Panhellenic provides support and services to sororities as well as representing sorority life to the University and the surrounding community.
National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC):
The National Pan-Hellenic council was founded to provide a venue of cooperation and communication concerning issues of mutual interest for historically Black Greek-letter fraternities and sororities. The TWU NPHC serves as the official coordinating agent of the campus NPHC organization in the furtherance of their national programs and to promote unity on the campus.
National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations (NALFO):
The purpose of National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations is to promote and foster positive interfraternal relations, communication, and development of all Latino Fraternal organizations through mutual respect, leadership, honesty, professionalism and education.
National Multicultural Greek Council (NMGC):
The National Multicultural Greek Council was established in 1998 standing for inclusiveness of all cultures, races, religions, and creeds. The goals of the NMGC are to provide a forum that allows for the free exchange of ideas, programs, and services between its constituent fraternities and sororities; to promote the awareness of multicultural diversity within collegiate institutions, their surrounding communities, and the greater community-at-large; and to support and promote the works of its member organizations.
Local Greek Sororities at TWU:
There are two Local Sororities included in TWU's Greek system that are not affiliated with a national organization. Alpha Theta Omega and Sigma Lambda Alpha were created by TWU students to reach out to other students with similar goals and ideals.
