Outreach Programs and Workshops from the Counseling Center-Denton Campus

The Counseling Center provides workshops and presentations to student groups and classes on a wide variety of topics. We are happy to arrange programs that may be of interest to your group or class. We are also more than happy to be part of a panel discussion you might be arranging that involves issues related to relationships, stress, families, the college experience, dealing with difficult issues, grief and loss, etc.

To insure our availability, we suggest that requests for presentations should be made a minimum of three weeks in advance of the anticipated program date. To arrange for a program in Denton, please call Don Rosen at (940) 898-3801. Dallas and Houston students, faculty, or staff should call the Counseling Center at your location.

Following is a list of some of the topics that are available. Other topics that might not appear on the list are also available. Please feel free to call if you have any questions about a topic you might have in mind.

Consultation Services

The Counseling Center staff is available to consult with individuals (faculty, students, staff) and groups about issues that involve the welfare of a student or groups of students. Some general examples of previous consultations include:

  • Concern about a roommate or friend
  • Communications skills within a campus organization
  • Difficulties between faculty and students
  • Difficulties between staff and students

We are happy to discuss your needs for consultation and provide any assistance appropriate to your situation.
