Welcome!
The Counseling Center is the campus agency designated to provide psychological services to TWU students. These services are designed to help students achieve their educational goals, learn the process of problem solving and decision making, develop the capacity for satisfying relationships, and learn to make full use of their potential for continued growth beyond their educational experience. In addition to providing counseling and psychological services, the Counseling Center serves as a training site for graduate students in psychology and related fields.

Other Services
WORKSHOPS AND TRAINING SEMINARS
Staff members will consult with and develop specific programs or presentations for: faculty, residence hall groups, campus organizations, and the campus community. Click here for more informationa on Outreach and Consultation Services.
ON-LINE WORKSHOPS
Our counseling center has developed a series of workshops that students may "attend" on-line. These workshops are designed to be educational rather than therapeutic. They can help you learn new skills in the general areas of study skills and self management. On-line workshops.
SELF-HELP MATERIALS
Located in the reception areas at all three campuses at the Counseling Center, a wide variety of pamphlets, brochures, and handouts are available for students' use anytime the Counseling Center is open. Many of these handouts are also available on the Counseling Center web pages Self Help. Other handouts from Counseling Centers around the country are available through the Virtual Pamphlet Collection of Self Help Materials.
SCREENING FOR MENTAL HEALTH
Through Screening for Mental Health, a non-profit organization that has developed national screening days for anxiety, depression, alcohol and eating disorders, we are able to offer TWU students the ability to anonymously screen themselves on-line for one or all of these issues. While these screening instruments are not meant to replace discussions with a counselor, they can be useful in helping you to determine whether or the degree to which these issues may be troubling you. Once you take a screening instrument, we encourage you to consider using our free and confidential services, if you wish. Screening for Mental Health Instruments
