Know How to Go

Go Centers are a grassroots network of community-managed college recruiting centers located in communities across the state of Texas.
Through Go Centers, G-Force members focus on issues of Attitude, Aptitude and Access and develop projects at multiple grade levels to support the College for Texans Campaign goals.

The most critical element of a GO CENTER is the group of peer educators that manage the center at these high schools. G-FORCE is a scientific term for Gravitational Force and is related to the gravitational pull of the earth on objects. Once an object is put in motion, the G-Force is the momentum in an object that can result in a tremendous impact.
G-FORCE members help create the momentum in other students to go to college. The Collegiate G-FORCE is a recognized student organization at Texas Woman's University.

The G-FORCE Student Organization Executive Board is as follows:

    President:   Rubi Trevino
    Vice-President:   Maria Camacho
    Secretary:  Melina Ruiz
    Treasurer:   Neri Pardo
Manager of Information Systems:   Diana Parada
Liaison for all Go Centers: Angelica Landoros and Julio Jacobo
Collegiate Coordinator & Advisor: Becky Rodríguez

For additional information on GO CENTERS or to learn more about how to join G-Force, contact Margaret Peguero at mpeguero@twu.edu or 940-898-3513. You may also download and complete the G-Force Student Organization Application and return to the Office of Intercultural Services, Jones Hall Suite 200.
