Community Partnership

The GEAR Up Education Alliance is school-to-college program that consists of Texas Woman's University, Dallas ISD, LULAC National Educational Service Center, Inc., and Mountain View College.

The GEAR UP Education alliance mission is to develop partnerships with education entities and communities to promote educational equity and help establish a sustainable academic pipeline and support system from school-to-college for GEAR UP students. The groups' philosophy is based on four principals in which the Alliance:

• Supports Sunset and W. H. Adamson staff in their quest for educational equity and excellence for all students;
• Promotes high performance standards;
• Commits to working with Sunset and W. H. Adamson education community in a collegial and supportive manner; and
• Ensures that the federal and non-federal funds and services are will coordinated; and, used to improve the educational opportunities and services for GEAR UP students
