Where Do I Begin?
Each student is unique, and our flexible programs are designed to meet individual needs and schedules. For help in planning the best course of action for you or your children, please contact the Office of Lifelong Learning at (940) 898-3408. We offer outstanding facilities and a continuous progression of learning opportunities for a wide range of ages.

How do I select a teacher?
A listing of teachers with brief biographical information can be found on the website. Experience, teaching styles, and availability vary from instructor to instructor. Following registration, a music faculty member will contact you to discuss and arrange an instructor for you or your child.

Why should my child study at TWU?
Studying music in a school environment gives students access to a large, highly qualified faculty, exposure to students of all levels on a variety of instruments, opportunities to attend professional quality recitals and concerts for free, a chance to play for their friends and families in both formal and informal settings, facilities in a University setting, beautiful campus, and a historic building. Quality teachers are selected by the TWU music department faculty.

Printed Music Purchases
Various printed music (scores), method books, and/or textbooks will be required for lessons and classes. Individual instructors will provide you with information about these materials prior to, or at the first lesson or class meeting. Students are expected to purchase printed music and will not be allowed to use library copies for everyday use. Many inexpensive editions exist and your instructor will help offer suggestions as to where to purchase materials. Instructors will not provide photo-copied materials as it is against Copyright Law.
