Dance Classes Offered
Creative Movement and Creative Dance classes for ages three to twelve use movement ideas, imagery, and music to explore space, rhythm, dynamics, and energy. These classes develop movement coordination and nurture the individuality and uniqueness inherent in all children before they study established technique and style.
Pre-Ballet, Ballet, Jazz, and Tap classes emphasize alignment, strength, flexibility, performance, and body/breath awareness within specific movement vocabulary.
Ballroom (swing, fox trot, waltz, polka) and Latin (salsa, merengue, cha cha, cumbia, tango) provides basic steps needed for dancing in any social setting.
Hip Hop Jazz introduces the “moves” of the latest street dance.
Pilates Based Conditioning classes are designed to build strength and increase flexibility, coordination, and range of motion. Yoga and other dance toning techniques will be introduced. A mat is needed for this class.
Salsacize will provide “the moves” for a hot saucy conditioning program.
Dancercize classes will include a variety of basic dance techniques essential for strengthening, stretching and having fun!
