New: Online Testing for Library Science Qualifying Test
Once you register on-line for the TExES Librarian Qualifying Test, your registration will begin to be processed. Please allow two (2) business days for your registration to be processed. After your registration has been processed, your TExES Qualifying Test will appear as “SLIS TEXES ONLINE PREP” in your Blackboard account. Please click on “SLIS TExES ONLINE PREP” to enter the course shell. To access the test, you will click on the “TEST” menu box. This will take you to the test. Click on “TExES Qualifying Test” to start the test. You will have three (3) hours to complete the test. When you have finished the test, your score will be shown to you and your score will be recorded and reported to the SLIS office. You may only take the test one time per registration. If you wish to retake the test, you will need to re-register for the test. You will need to register using the following course code numbers: 09010A for a second test, 09010B for a third test, and 09010C for a fourth test. register online

Note: Registration deadline is 12:00 pm the Friday before the test date.
All tests are administered at TWU in the CFO Building, room 203. Sign-in begins at 8:30 am, the test will be administered from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon on the following dates:

Fees
The fee for the qualifying tests will be $15.00 until noon the Friday before the test date. There is a $25.00 fee for the Library Science On-line Qualifying test. No on-site registration available.
Important Information
• Effective Summer 2006- A qualifying examination score of 75 or above on the PPR and Content Area exam (if applicable) is a prerequisite to student teaching for all students pursuing teacher certification.
• Scores will be emailed within one week of the test administration. Score reports will be mailed within three weeks.
• Non-TWU student scores will be reported to the student only.
• Deadline for registration is noon the day before the test date. No Exceptions.
• No refund will be given once the test has been administered.
Refund/Cancellation Fee
Registrants who find it necessary to cancel will receive a refund, less a $5 processing fee. To receive a refund, you must submit written notification seven days prior to the event start date (fax 940.898.3416). No refund will be given once the event has started; however, substitutions may be made at any time. The Office of Lifelong Learning reserves the right to cancel this event if sufficient enrollment is not met. In doing so, Texas Woman's University's liability is limited to the registration fee.
