The mission of the Office of Institutional Research is to provide information for the institution's reporting, planning, and decision making activities and to coordinate institutional effectiveness plans and assessment. This effort is in direct support of the university's mission to provide undergraduate and graduate education of the highest quality in a learning environment that empowers and affirms the full development of students, primarily women.

Office responsibilities encompass the systematic and thorough collection, analysis, and interpretation of current and archival data and the dissemination of institutional information internally, to state and national agencies, and to private entities. The office works with academic and administrative units to develop goals, objectives, assessment methods, and outcome reporting to enhance institutional effectiveness.
