INFORMATION TABLE:
Stop by an Information Table or make an individual appointment with the Internship/ Co-op Coordinator by calling (940) 898-2950 to learn about the program.

MEETING WITH THE INTERNSHIP/ CO-OP COORDINATOR:
The Coordinator will evaluate the student's resume and cover letter, and will discuss the student's career goals.  Together, they will work out an individual plan of action. 
Also get suggestions for references, follow up phone calls, and interviewing.  Specific positions available will be discussed at this time.

RESUME AND COVER LETTER:
When searching for an Internship/ Co-op opportunity it is important to have an excellent resume and cover letter prepared!  Bring a typed copy of your resume and cover letter to a scheduled appointment with the Coordinator. 
Learn how to individually "tailor" your resume and cover letter to match your skills and qualifications as they relate to each opportunity you apply for.  If you need assistance in starting your resume, please refer to the Career Services Job Search Guide (available copies in Career Services) or view Resume Guidelines for assistance.

APPLICATION:

Once you have applied and accepted a position, complete and submit the Internship/ Cooperative Education Application online or in the Career Services Office. 

INTERNSHIP/ COOPERATIVE EDUCATION AGREEMENT:
Carefully read and sign the Student Training Agreement and have your Faculty Advisor fill out and sign the Departmental Recommendation on the second page, and return to Career Services. 

REGISTER:
Register for the Co-op course once you have accepted a job to ensure you get academic credit.  Your Faculty Advisor will give you the appropriate course code for registering.

ASSIGNMENTS:
Internship/ Co-op Workbook Assignments are online.  Please print, complete, obtain any signatures, and return to Career Services by the appropriate due date.  The Internship/ Co-op Coordinator will forward a copy of each assignment on to the student's Faculty Advisor.  The Faculty Advisor will administer grades upon completion of the Internship/ Co-op.
