Enhancements to Non-TWU Property

OVERVIEW
Texas Woman's University is affiliated with other institutions, such as Texas
Medical Center-Houston, Parkland Hospital-Dallas, and the Presbyterian
Hospital-Dallas, that serve as teaching institutions for TWU students. Because
of its affiliations with these institutions, TWU may occasionally be required to
fund changes or enhancements to the property of the other institution.
PROCEDURE
The following guidelines are provided:

Departments requiring enhancements to another institution, such as
Parkland Hospital or Presbyterian Hospital, must prepare a letter of
explanation detailing the intended actions and the anticipated benefits of
the enhancement.

The department must secure the written approval of the Vice President of
Finance and Administration and affiliated Hospitals.

The Buyer in Purchasing will review the requisition and if the
requirements listed above have been satisfactorily met, the buyer will
process in accordance with competitive bid procedures or sole source
procedures.

Facilities Management must be notified of proposed enhancements.
