Scholarships are intended to help students having high scholastic achievements, good character, real financial need, and dedication of purpose. Numerous scholarships are available from the university, industry, and professional societies. Faculty advisors have up-to-date information concerning scholarship opportunities. For a scholarship to carry an out-of-state tuition waiver, it must be competitive, awarded on academic competence, and total $1,000 or more per academic year. A spring deadline for scholarship applications is March 1 of each year.
