Keimyung University agreement being signed

The Department of Nutrition and Food Sciences is actively seeking alliances with universities outside USA to develop academic and cultural interchange to promote education, research, and global citizenship.  These alliances will vary in nature from institution to institution to include one or more of the following functions:

  1. Exchange of faculty members
  2. Exchange of students
  3. Joint graduate degree programs in Nutrition
  4. Joint research activities
  5. Participation in seminars and academic meetings
  6. Exchange of academic materials and other information
  7. Special short-term academic programs
  8. Staff development projects

We are currently at different stages of negotiation with institutions in Hong Kong, United Arab Emirate, Mexico, and Slovakia.

Articulation agreement Dr Prasad with representatives of Keimyung UniversityIn April 2010, Dr Prasad visited Keimyung University in Daegu, Korea, to sign a general memorandum of understanding to welcome their MS (Nutrition) student to visit TWU for research and education for one semester.

 

 

Dr Mo at Hong Kong Baptist University In August 2010, Dr Huanbiao Mo visited Hong Kong Baptist University to further develop the bi-national master's program in nutrition.  He had the opportunity to tour Dr Zhiling Yu's lab and meet with students in the School of Chinese Medicine to discuss research collaboration. 

Dr Mo also visited Dr Zhen-Yu Chen at the Food and Nutritional Sciences Programme, Department of Biochemistry, at the Chinese University of Hong Kong to discuss providing training to their post-baccalaureate students and potential research collaboration.
