Texas Woman’s University strives to bring a better quality of life to our neighbors in Denton, the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, and Houston. Each year, faculty, staff, and students log hundreds of hours doing community service. We are proud of the efforts our university makes to improve the world around us and foster a creative environment that sustains us.
The Department of Nutrition and Food Sciences is committed to helping join with our neighbors to address nutritional problems creating partnerships that enable students, faculty, and neighborhood organizations to work together to revitalize the health of the community. We are committed to combining research-based learning with practical application that extends beyond our campus borders. Through the formation of campus-community partnerships, we are able to teach students real-world problem-solving skills and encourage active participation in communities in order to be responsible citizens. Collectively, we are striving to build a dynamic community one partnership at a time.
