How to have a Healthier Thanksgiving

The students of Nutrition and Food Sciences have teamed up with Student Health Services and Peer Advocates Teaching Health to bring you tips on having a leaner Thanksgiving.  Did you know that applesauce can replace up to 3/4 of the shortening in many baked recipes?  This handy flyer will give you great ideas for a healthier Thanksgiving (and still keep pumpkin pie on the menu).

Healthier Fast Food Recipe Contest

The Department of Nutrition and Food Sciences is encouraging students, faculty, staff, and others in the DFW Metroplex to enter the Healthier Fast Food Recipe Contest.  Entries must be received by Dec 23, 2009, so read the rules and criteria today.
