This program is only for registered nurses who desire to obtain a MS degree.  If you are not a registered nurse, please go to the Bachelor of Science (BS) Program.

The Texas Woman's University College of Nursing offers registered nurses holding an associate degree or diploma from a nationally accredited program an opportunity to enroll in a program leading to a master of science degree with a major in nursing. Various specialty tracks are offered in advanced practice, nurse educator, and nursing administration (Houston only).

Students accepted into this program can complete their baccalaureate degree at the end of one year of full time study with 10 credit hours (3 courses) completed toward the masters degree. Depending on the masters specialty chosen, the masters degree can be completed within another 18 months of full-time study. Students may, of course, also elect to complete the program on a part-time basis. Students in this program are admitted provisionally to the masters program and are subject to policies of the College of Nursing masters program and Graduate School at Texas Woman's University.
