Admission Requirements
The Post-Master's Certificate Program requires a baccalaureate degree in nursing and a master's degree in nursing or related field.
Program Description
This program prepares nurses to assume leadership positions in the complex and diverse environment of health services. The program provides students with nursing and business administration skills essential for success as managers and nurse executives.

Nursing core courses provide a solid foundation for the nursing administration practicum;

Business courses include management, economics, accounting, finance, quality improvement and marketing;

Clinical practicum placements to meet specific career goals of individual students, including acute care, ambulatory care, long-term care and community-home health care;

Both full-time and part-time options;

Alternative class schedules to best meet the needs of the adult learner.
Curriculum
Completion of 18 or 19 credit hours of coursework. Required courses include 8 or 9 credits of nursing courses and 10 credits of HCA courses.
Nursing Core Courses: Nursing research, nursing theory, and health promotion
HCA Cognate Course: Organizational theory, economics (introduction and advanced), quality improvement and managerial accounting
