The Post MS Certificate

Within the master's program there are several options for nurses who already have a master's degree to seek additional education through post-master's certification programs.

Scores for the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or Miller Analogies Test (MAT) are not required of applicants for post-master's nursing certification.

Individuals who have a master's degree in nursing may be considered for admission to a post-master's certification program in one of three areas:

  • Nurses who have a master's degree in a clinical specialty in nursing may seek preparation as a nurse practitioner in pediatrics, adult health, women's health, or family health.

  • Nurses who have a master's degree in nursing may seek preparation in nursing systems management.

  • Nurses who have a master's degree in nursing with a clinical specialty area may seek preparation in nursing education.
