The Nursing Systems Management and Health Care Administration program prepares nurses to assume leadership positions in the complex and diverse environment of health services. The program provides students with nursing and business administration skills essential for success as managers and nurse executives.

MS in Nursing/Health Systems Management

The total number of requires 42-45 hours, with 18 of these earned in the Department of Health Care Administration (HCA). This allows students to declare a minor in HCA.

• Nursing Core Courses: Nursing research, Nursing Theory, and Health Promotion
• HCA Cognate Courses: Organizational Theory, Economics, Managerial Accounting, Finance, Quality Management are role courses in HCA. They are offered to students majoring in HCA.
• Clinical Courses: There are 3 practicums: Organizational Assessment, Fiscal Assessment, Outcomes Assessment. There is also a Health Systems Management Seminar.
