Core Program Requirements
The Post Master's clinical nurse leader track requires 30 credit hours. The following courses must be completed by all Post Master's clinical nurse leader students:

Specialty Area Requirements
In addition, clinical nurse leader candidates complete 20 credit hours of clinical courses in the specialty area.
Clinical Nurse Leaders (CNL)
Clinical Nurse Leaders (CNLs) are leaders in the health care delivery system who manage at the point of care, and assume an advanced generalist's clinical practical role. CNLs function within a microsystem and assume responsibility for healthcare outcomes for a specific group of clients through assimilation and application of research-based information to design, implement, and evaluate plans of care. CNLs are providers and managers of care and facilitate lateral integration of clinical services.
