HESI A2 Entrance Test Eligibility

You can go to any Prometrics testing site after you have registered to take the test. These sites are located across the country. The test is computerized and highly secure.

Frequently Asked Questions

What ID should I use when signing into the test? 
Use TWU + last five (5) digits of your social secutriy number (example: TWU22222)

If a student took 3 sections of the HESI for a different program earlier, will the College of Nursing accept those scores as long as the additional sections were taken through Prometrics?
No. The entire test must be taken at Prometrics in one sitting. 

Will the College of Nursing accept HESI scores taken prior to February 1, 2009?
No.

Will the College of Nursing accept HESI scores taken for other institutions?
No.  

Will the College of Nursing accept hard copies of HESI scores?
No.  

Is there a time limit on accepting HESI scores?
No. However, the student may only take the test once per application period (i.e. from September 1 - February 1 and from February 1 - September)

If the student takes the exam Fall 2009 but plans on applying for Fall 2010 will scores still be valid?
Yes.  

Test Components

The HESI A2 consists of the following components: math, reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, chemistry, biology, anatomy and physiology, personality profile, learning style, and critical thinking. 

Cost of Test

The cost of the test is $85.

Minimum Test Score

A minimum test composite test score of 75 (not a 75 for each specific part) is required for eligibility to the College of Nursing.
