Student Loan Report has ranked Texas Woman's University as one of the nation’s “Most Affordable Colleges for Incoming Freshmen with Financial Need" in a recent report.

The web-based newsletter states that, “Texas Woman's University is one of the best in the country at helping its new students financially.”

Student Loan Report says it ranked the colleges and universities based on stats from Peterson’s College Data, including the percent of students with financial need and the average amount of aid given to students in financial need.

The report analyzed more than 1,000 colleges and universities and narrowed the report down to the top 250. Texas Woman’s is No. 127 on the list.

According to Student Loan Report, “The ranking was determined by multiplying the percent of freshmen with financial need by the average amount given to needy freshmen. This gave us an adjusted ranking for the college's overall ability to provide aid to needy freshmen.”
