Pep Band

The Texas Woman's University Pep band is an organization of instrumentalists that perform at athletic events in support of our TWU Pioneers. The Pep band is under the direction of adjunct instructor of music, Angela Winter. 

The Pep Band is open to anyone! All potential members must audition for the group and some members will be selected for paid positions. Paid members must register for the course and play at every scheduled Pep Band event (see list of dates below). As a member, you will receive university credit and a pep uniform. In addition, non-paid positions are open to more instruments including: auxiliary percussion, bass clarinet, tenor sax, baritone sax, and flute.

Auditions will be held Thursday, August 25th from 9:30am - 11:30am

Drummers –As the drummer for the group, you will be required to improvise on many charts. There will always be a snare or bass drum part to use as a point of reference, but keeping good time and style will ultimately be up to you.

Tuba – We are using Sousaphones for the ensemble, but you can audition on a concert tuba.

Game Schedule will be posted soon. Weekly rehearsal is Tuesdays from 7pm - 8:30pm.
