About the Program

Master of Arts in Music with an emphasis in Music Pedagogy is for vocalists, pianists, and other instrumentalists who are interested in refining their knowledge and skills for effective studio teaching in private or university settings. The curriculum focuses on instrumental techniques, teaching strategies, literature, and the student's own performance skills.

TWU Music Education major uses his teaching skills on a mission trip in Mexico

Watch how Sam Guzman uses skills he learned in Intro to Music Ed and Elementary Methods in his work in Mexico this year. Not only did he help build houses, he taught music to children who don't have music classes in their schools.
