About the Program

TWU's music therapy program, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, is the oldest ongoing program in Texas and one of the oldest in the country. A music therapy concentration includes clinical experience, research studies, and a core of basic music and psychology courses.

2nd Bachelor's Degree (Music Therapy Equivalency)

Students who have Bachelor's degrees in fields other than music therapy may pursue a second Bachelor's degree in music therapy. This option, also known as the music therapy equivalency, consists of completion of all coursework required for the music therapy degree, including six credits of American government and six credits of American history, as well as six credits of courses that meet the Global Perspectives requirement.
