Kim Forguson graduated from Texas Woman’s University with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education and holds Texas certification in All-Level Music. Currently, she is pursuing a Master of Arts in Music Education.
A native of Kentucky, Forguson began her teaching career as a private violin instructor and volunteer in the Christian County Public School District. She was a charter member of Hopkinsville Strings and the Alhambra Chamber Orchestra (KY). As an undergraduate, she performed in the Austin Peay State University Symphony Orchestra and String Quartet, as well as the TWU String Ensemble. Upon arriving to Texas, Forguson completed her student teaching in Denton ISD, where she taught orchestra and general music. She continues to assist at area UIL events and volunteers for arts education programs at the Denton Public Library. Forguson includes citations in the National Dean’s List and Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges among her honors.
