B.A. in Instrumental Performance, flute concentration, Texas Woman's University
Melaney holds a B. A. in Instrumental Performance with a concentration in flute from Texas Woman's University, where she studied under Dr. Pamela Youngblood. Over the past 5 years Melaney has performed throughout the country with the TWU and Brookhaven flute choirs, appearing at many National Flute Association flute conventions and performing on numerous concerts with the ensemble. Melaney has recently performed with the New Life Symphony Orchestra of Dallas and also completed her second year at the Montessori School of Starcreek as a music teacher and private music instructor. Her professional affiliations include the National Flute Association, Texas Flute Society, and Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity. Melaney resides in McKinney with her two cats, Zena and Sadie, and her husband Kyle.
