Social and Cultural Development and Retreats

Kathalyn Nute and Carl McNairSocial and Cultural events are important strategies for developing a supportive community among students.  McNair scholars participate in leadership workshops, campus organizations, and special events.  Additional university and community events enable participants to attend a broad range of cultural events. 

The Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex provides cultural attractions including the Myerson Symphony in Dallas and the Bass Performance Hall in Ft. Worth.  For the visual arts, the region offers the Kimbell Art Museum, the Amon Carter Museum, the Dallas Museum of Art, the Women's Museum and the Nasher Sculpture Garden.
