| The focus of the McNair program is undergraduate research. Under the direction of a faculty mentor, McNair Scholars complete a two-year summer internship and present research findings at national and discipline specific conferences as well as the TWU creative Arts and Research Symposium and McNair Research conferences. | |

McNair Scholars presented their research at the Rocky Mountain McNair Research Conference, the University of North Texas McNair Conference, the University of California at Berkeley McNair Scholars' Symposium, the Southern California Conferences for Undergraduate Research, the University at Buffalo McNair Research Conference, the Penn State McNair Research Conference and the Association for Psychological Science.
