S-STEM, Scholarships in Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics

The Scholarships in Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics, S-STEM, program provides scholarships in the amount of $5,000-$10,000 per year to students majoring in science, technology, engineering and/or mathematics fields.

Teacher Preparation Program Grants

The Teacher Preparation Program grants are for students pursuing  teacher certification, and are a part of the  Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant Program, funded by the U.S. Department of Education.

GTF, Greater Texas Foundation

Step Up to Teaching in Mathematics and Science Scholarship

Rose Marie Smith Endowed Scholarship for Student Teachers in Mathematics &/or Computer Science

Established by the North Texas Council of Teachers of Mathematics in honor of Dr. Rose Marie Smith, former chair of the Department of Mathematics and  Computer Science at TWU. This endowment provides for two annual scholarships for students during their student teaching experience in mathematics and computer science.


Maurine Faulkner Endowed Scholarship

Established by the late Maurine Faulkner to support two or more scholarships for junior through graduate status students who are studying Spanish or majoring in Nutrition and Food Sciences or Mathematics.


Dr. Ben Goldbeck Endowed Scholarship

Established by Mrs. Helen Golbeck in memory of her husband and awarded based on need and academic performance to an undergraduate major in the department of mathematics and computer science.

 

Harlan Miller Scholarship

Established in memory of Dr. Harlan C. Miller and awarded to the outstanding student in the department. It provides awards to students who are majoring either in mathematics or physics and have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 in their major field and overall.
