Professonal Portfolios

Portfolio presentations for MAT students planning on graduating in Fall 2010 are scheduled from 4:00 until 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday November 9th (CFO 201), Wednesday November 10th (ACT 601), and Thursday November 11th (ASB 301) on the Denton campus. There will be a reception for MAT students in conjunction with the portfolio presentations. Faculty and staff will also be present to answer questions and provide information relative to graduation, certification requirements and other issues. These sessions are for those MAT students who are advised through the College of Professional Education and a number of MAT students who are advised through other departments. Go to the MAT Blackboard site for the schedule of students who will be presenting at one of these times. If your name is not on the schedule check with your advisor regarding when and where you will present your portfolio.

At the portfolio presentation each MAT student will stand in front of the group to give a short introduction of her/his certification field and level and future professional plans. Each student will then show one portfolio item using the video projector and describe how that item reflects her/his development as a teacher. The entire presentation should take no more than 5-10 minutes. Each student should come prepared to share her/his entire portfolio with other students and with faculty members. Please send the portfolio item you plan to highlight two days prior to your presentation day to jwhitworth@mail.twu.edu as an e-mail attachment.
