Important Orientation Info

A new MAT student orientation will be held on the Denton campus from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 28 in CFO 203. All new MAT students are urged to attend. The orientation will consist of two parts. One part will be a general session and will address policies, procedures, timelines, deadlines, resources, and other issues to help you be successful in completing your MAT as efficiently as possilbe. The other part will consist of an orienation to the TaskStream e-portfolio system.

All MAT students who begin their program in the Fall of 2008 or later will use TaskStream to create, manage, complete and present the professional portfolio requirement of their program. This part of the orientation will provide valuable information on accessing and using TaskStream. MAT students beginning their program this Fall should purchase a two-year subscription to TaskStream. To do this, go to http://www.taskstream.com/ and click on "Subscribe/Renew Today." You are strongly encouraged to do this before attending the August 28 orientation.

Note that if you started your MAT program during the Summer of 2008 you won't need to attend the TaskStream part of the orientation, but just the general session. For questions and more information e-mail mat@twu.edu, or call 940-898-2186.
