Dr. Mary Evelyn Blagg-Huey was inaugurated as the seventh
president of Texas Woman's University on April 15, 1977.
She was the first female to hold this position. She graduated
from TWU with a bachelor's in English and in Music in 1942.
In 1943 she received her Master's degree in English from TWU. She received a Master's of Public Administration from the University of Kentucky in 1947. In 1954 she attained Doctorate of Philosophy in Political Science from Duke University.
The administrative papers of Dr. Mary Evelyn Blagg-Huey which include
inaugural material, commencement speeches, dedications, correspondence,
newspaper clippings, and University public. DACOWITS material, Young Homemakers of
Texas convention publication, a recital program of Mary Evelyn Blagg as a student of
TWU from 1942.

College of Arts and Sciences.
Collection includes clippings, programs and announcements of productions.
