Dr. David MacKenna (B.A, M.A, Ph.D., University of North Texas),
has been affiliated with the University of Texas at Arlington since 1972,
currently serving as Associate Professor of Criminal Justice. During his earlier
years with the University, he served as Senior Research Associate and Director
of the University's Institute of Urban Studies. From 1980-85, he directed
the Criminal Justice academic program at U.T. Arlington. Dr. MacKenna held
a prior academic appointment in Political Science at Texas Woman's University.
For several years, he was a Criminal Investigator with the U.S.A.F. Office
of Special Investigations (O.S.I.).
Dr. MacKenna is the author of numerous books, research reports, and articles
on Texas public policy issues, law enforcement, and private security.
