Lloyd Harrell is the City Manager of Chandler, Arizona, a position he has held since November , 1995. Prior to going to Chandler, Harrell was the City Manager for Denton, Texas for almost 10 years. He has also been the city manager of Liberty, Missouri and Nevada, Missouri and worked in the city manager's office in Stillwater, Oklahoma and Boulder, Colorado.

Mr. Harrell received his Masters of Government Administration from the Wharton School of Business-Fels Institute of Local and State Government, University of Pennsylvania in 1968. He was the recipient of a fully paid fellowship and ranked number one in his graduating class. His Bachelors of Arts is in Political Science from William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri.

Mr. Harrell has been the recipient of many honors and awards. In 1985 he received the Jay Bell Professional Management Award, the highest honor given by Missouri City Management Association in recognition of high standards of professionalism and ethical conduct. He also served as a vice president of the International City Management Association from 1983-1985.
