Orientation

International student orientation is your first step in your TWU journey. Learn more about your first experiences as a TWU student!

Denton and Dallas Students

Initial Students

Arrival date for Fall 2017 is August 14, 2017. Immediately upon arrival, visit TWU Health Services for your TB test. Hours are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. You should have completed your TB test before Friday’s orientation. You will not be able to register for classes if you have not done so.

You MUST attend International Orientation on August 18, 2017, from 9am-5pm. Location details will be emailed to you. Breakfast and lunch are provided. There is no charge for this face-to-face orientation. Bring your passport, I-94, and original bank documents with you.

You may attend the domestic orientation. This orientation is voluntary; sign up and other information is available online through your Pioneer Portal. This orientation provides academic advising. Undergraduate students with less than 30 credit hours MUST be advised before they can register.

Graduate Students should also check with your department and the Graduate School for Orientation information specific to graduates.

Students transferring from another U.S. University

Submit your TB test record to TWU Health Services as soon as possible. Your TB hold must be cleared before you will be able to register.

Transfer students may take and pass the International Online Orientation in order to clear the Orientation Hold. You must also submit – in person – your passport, I-94, and original financial documents to our office (Jones Hall, 200). Dallas transfer students may submit their documents to the Office of Student Life on the Dallas campus. It is not mandatory for transfer students to attend the in-person International Orientation on August 18 BUT WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU ATTEND.

If you wish, you may attend the domestic orientation. This orientation is voluntary, and sign up and other information is available online through your Pioneer Portal. This orientation provides academic advising. Undergraduate students with less than 30 credit hours MUST be advised before they can register.

Houston Students

If you will be enrolling at the TWU Houston campus, please plan to attend the mandatory Orientation for international students.
