Becky Rodriguez, Director

Becky holds a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Texas Woman’s University and a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of North Texas. She has over 15 years of experience in education working in the areas of retention, recruitment, diversity, cultural awareness and student life. She has been with TWU since 2001, and leads the University’s Office of Intercultural Services efforts in writing over $700,000 in grant funds for the Go Programs. Becky is originally from Rio Grande City, Texas. She enjoys spending time with her family and watching her kids, Cecily, Martin, and Matthew play sports.

Michelle holds a Master's degree in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University and a Bachelor's in Business Administration from the University of Texas-Dallas. She has over 5 years of experience working in higher education. Michelle began working at TWU in May of 2008, and oversees the SUCCESS Mentoring Program, Sophomore Year Community Mentoring Program, the Cultural Connections Leadership Conference and diversity/cultural programs for OIS.  Michelle has a strong background in mentoring, student leadership, minority student organizations and Greek Life.  Michelle is from Lake Dallas, Texas.

Angelica holds a Bachelor's degree in Bilingual Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas Woman’s University (TWU).  Currently, she is working towards her master's in reading education at TWU.  Angelica joined Intercultural Services as the Mobile Go Center and Outreach Program Coordinator.  She is responsible for implementing and coordinating various Mobile Go Center events.  A first-generation college student, Angelica understands the importance of mentoring students entering college for the first time.  In her spare time, Angelica enjoys spending quality time with family and friends.  She is originally from Dallas, Texas.

Michelle holds a Master's degree in Educational Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies both from the University of Missouri. Her professional experience includes recruitment, training and management in student development leadership, retention, career preparation and marketing. She joined the Intercultural Services staff in February 2009.  In her capacity, Michelle is responsible for diversity programming, leadership and education on the Denton and Dallas campus.  She is originally from Los Angeles, California.

Dolores holds a Bachelor's degree from Texas Woman’s University.  She has over 9 years experience working in higher education. She joined TWU in 2002, and in her current position assists the office with administrative duties, reports, budgets, travel and purchasing. Dolores enjoys sewing and traveling.  Her hometown is El Paso, Texas.

Izela holds a Bachelor's degree in Emerging Media and Communications from the University of Texas at Dallas. She has over 4 years of experience working in higher education. She previously worked at Brookhaven Community College and the University of Texas at Dallas. She joined Texas Woman's University in January 2013. In her current position she assists with overseeing the TWU Mobile Go Center and Program Outreach. Izela enjoys spending time with family and friends. Her hometown is Carrollton, Texas.

 

Scotty McCall, Mobile Go Center Driver

Scotty joined TWU in June 2008.  He has over 25 years experience transporting trucks and trailers. As the driver for the TWU Mobile Go Center, he is responsible for driving, set-up and operation of the Center and truck. Scotty’s hometown is Idalou, Texas, near Lubbock.

 

 

 

 

Christina Calkins, Graduate Assistant

Christina holds a Bachelor's degree from Stephen F. Austin State University, and is currently working towards her Master's degree at Texas Woman's University. Prior to joining Intercultural Services in 2011, she gained experience in higher education by assisting with the coordination of an academic enrichment and success center at Stephen F. Austin. She primarily assists with data management and reporting, the TWU Go Program, and website maintenance. Christina's hometown is Richardson, Texas.
