Text Box:           The mission of the Texas Woman's University Institute for Clinical Services and Applied Research involves several areas. Primarily, the Institute seeks to provide high quality, affordable assessment and rehabilitative/therapeutic services to the community. The Institute is also dedicated to the development of interdisciplinary education for TWU students by offering training and research in the health and education fields. The Institute is also committed to increasing recognition of TWU as a leader in the area of interdisciplinary services.
The Institute faculty seeks to determine effective methods for integrating common program needs across departments through team teaching and integrated curriculum. Additionally, the institute provides TWU students with the opportunity to understand and participate in the implementation of multidisciplinary service delivery.
In cooperation with other departments within the University, the Institute serves as a model of multidisciplinary research development that enhances the research potential of faculty, staff and students by establishing a centralized data-base of clinical records that can be used for clinical research.
