Applicants' Frequently Asked QuestionsQ. How will I know if my résumé has been received? A. By emailing your résumé you will receive an automatic email reply thanking you for applying to the University and outlining the application process. Q. How do I know if my resume or application has been referred? A. Hiring departments will have access to all résumés and applications that are received for their posted positions. Q. How long will it be before the hiring department calls me to set up an interview? A. Positions must remain open for a minimum of 10 calendar days; however, they will have a specified closing date, usually no longer than 30 days. Hiring departments may begin interviewing at any time. Please allow up to three weeks from the posted closing date in order for your credentials to be reviewed. Q. Are all applicants interviewed? A. TWU welcomes all qualified applicants to apply for open positions; however, interviews are not guaranteed. Hiring departments will review submitted credentials and will contact those applicants that they are interested in. Q. What happens if I don't get called in for an interview? A. If you have not received a call within three weeks of the posted closing date of the position for which you applied, your credentials did not advance for further consideration. Please visit the TWU Employment Opportunities for further job postings that may be of interest to you. Q. Can I list more than one position on my résumé or application? A. No. A separate résumé or application must be submitted for each position that you wish to apply for. Résumés and applications that are submitted with multiple or non-posted positions will not be considered. Q. Should I call Human Resources to check on the status of my application? A. No. Hiring departments have access to all credentials for all candidates who apply for a position. The hiring department will contact applicants directly to set up interviews. Please allow up to 3 weeks from the posted closing date for your credentials to be reviewed. |
