As
a part of developing a comprehensive compensation and
performance plan that will accomplish the University goal of
attracting and retaining the most qualified employees, the
Office of Human Resources is conducting a Comprehensive
Compensation and Salary Study for all classified and
professional & administrative positions using an outside company
experienced in performing such studies. TWU has recently
contracted with the Management Advisory Group, Inc. to perform
the current study. The last study was done in 1990 by Peat
Marwick.
During the last few years a great deal of progress has been made
to ensure that classified and professional & administrative
salaries are within market range. We are now in a position to
address future compensation issues. The following are a few
major deliverables of this project:
· Establish a long term compensation structure to ensure TWU
remains competitive with its salaries
· Review current market salary survey process in order to
accurately match positions to our market
·
Review current market salary survey process against best
practices
·
Review compliance with regulatory agency requirements
·
Develop new tools to obtain accurate market information
·
Review all job descriptions
As the study goes forward, Management Advisory Group, Inc. may
be asking for your participation during the review of job
descriptions.
Major rationale points for the proposed study.
