Annual Eye Exam

Use HealthSelect health insurance coverage and HealthSelect providers.

BCBS/HealthSelect members have coverage for one eye exam per calendar year.  If you see a HealthSelect network specialist* (optometrist/ophthalmologist), you pay the $30 specialist co-payment.  No referral is required for a routine eye exam.

Discounts on Eyewear (Glasses and Contacts)

Use Davis Vision value-added discount program and Davis Vision providers.

In addition to the BCBS/HealthSelect insurance coverage, HealthSelect members are also eligible for discounts through Davis Vision. 

Through Davis Vision you can get discounts on eyewear such as glasses and contacts.  Vision benefits for eyewear are a value-added program that supplements the benefits of your health insurance coverage for an eye exam. 

You can get discounts ranging from 10-50% on most vision products and services such as frames, lenses, and contacts by presenting your BCBS/HealthSelect ID card to a Davis Vision provider.  The plan ID is "BCBSTX Plan #400."
