As a Texas State employee, you have two Dental plans to choose from:  an Indemnity Plan through GEHA and a Dental Maintenance Organization (DMO) through Aetna.

Overview of Dental Care Coverage

GEHA - Dental Choice (Indemnity Plan)

• Dental Choice Summary of Benefits

• In-Network Providers  Remember, with GEHA you can use any Dentist and receive the Out-of-Network Coverage if they are not listed as In-Network (which when compared to the In-Network coverage is not that much difference)

• To change your In-Network Dentist:

  • Select a Dentist from the In-Network Providers link above

  • Call customer service 800/618-2389 to provide GEHA with your dentist selection

Aetna - Dental Maintenance Plan (DMO)

• DMO Dental Care Schedule

• Provider Directory  Remember, with Aetna DMO you MUST select a Dentist from their list of providers or the is no coverage

• To change your In-Network Dentist:

  • Select a Dentist from the Provider Directory link above

  • Call customer service 800/275-1794 to provide Aetna with your dentist selection
